Veronica has dedicated the entirety of her life to working with horses and has found that the greatest reward in doing so is teaching and helping students discover their own passion for horses. She gained valuable experience both practical and theoretical in her younger years working at a boutique breeding farm in Virginia. After being exposed to equine genetics as well as basic veterinary care, Veronica decided to pursue a degree in Animal Science with an equine emphasis. During college, Veronica was a member of the Virginia Tech Equestrian Team where she traveled in the Mid-Atlantic competing on the Intercollegiate Dressage Team. Veronica also spent time in Germany where she further gained an appreciation for both dressage and the sport horse industry as a whole. Upon graduating college Veronica became a working student under USDF gold medalist Susan Cooper. During her time there she acquired extensive experience training and marketing dressage sport horses.
Veronica moved to Colorado at the beginning of 2012 for a new adventure that led to more knowledge and experience training young horses alongside the esteemed international sport horse importer Noble Dressage of Parker, Colorado. Veronica also enjoyed many other teaching and training opportunities during her time in Colorado with highlights including her time in full training with Diamond Dressage and also teaching her weekly dressage class at the Urban Farm in Stapleton, Colorado. Due to life circumstances, Veronica, her husband James, and their dogs and horses relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2017 to be closer to Veronica’s parents. Upon her arrival in North Carolina she has slowly built a business focusing on teaching and taking a select few horses into her training program. Interested in being part of our team?
